Orange Julius Smoothie

During the course of the year we work hard, life gets busy and we get sick, either getting the flu or cold. It is so important to ensure we keep our immune systems strong and nourish our bodies. Keeping a healthy balanced diet, exercising regularly and getting enough sleep. Some of us may have a tendency to grab a cup of coffee and then rush out the door without having breakfast. It doesn't need to be this way. It is so simple to throw a few healthy items into a blender and drink that on the way to work.

Oranges have a reputation for being a great source of vitamin C when it comes to fruit. You can start the morning by enjoying a cup of orange juice, making it healthier by using a real orange and making it into a smoothie with berries and seeds rich in anti-oxidants.

Four ingredients is all you need with a touch of water.

Recipe for Orange Julius Smoothie:

  • 1 x large orange
  • 1 x tablespoon of dried goji berries or handful of blue berries or handful of strawberries
  • 1 x tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 x table spoon of almonds
  • Half a cup of water

Directions to Make Orange Julius Smoothie:

Throw all of the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy.

If you would like to make it more of a breakfast smoothie you can add a couple of tablespoons of muesli into the mix.
